10 MINUTE TABLE RUNNER

You need 1/3 Yard of Focus Fabric (if you want a longer table runner than double the size)
You then need 1/2 Yard of Backing Fabric

All seams are 1/4"

1. With right sides together sew the long side of the focus fabric to the long side of the backing fabric. Then sew the other two sides creating a tube
2. Turn the "tube" right sides out and press from the focus side so that you have even borders of the backing showing on either side of the focus fabric.
3. Fold the tube in half with the focus fabric on the inside and the backing fabric on the outside and sew across each short end.
4. Open out each sewn end so that it becomes a point. Turn your runner focus fabric side up and press to sharpen the points.
DONE DONE DONE!!!
Have fun and play around. This is a great Christmas present or you can make one for every season.

This is my Thanksgiving/Fall Runner

GET MORE OUT OF YOUR PATTERNS

Do you hate it when you buy a pattern and are forced to make only 1 size or have to fold that flimsy paper? Or do you hate just working with that thin paper? I have a tip. My sewing master has shared her insight and after it being tried and true I am giving it to you!

Here is your average flimsy pattern. This particular pattern is for a baby dress.

Notice how this pattern comes in small - extra large. Well I am sorry but babies grow! So here is my tip......

Take yourself down to Home Depot and for $10 you get 250 square feet of this plastic see-through sheeting. Lay this over your pattern and use a magic marker to draw the size pattern. Then cut this out and viola!
You have your size. Just make sure to draw all instructions on there. This works just as good pinning to material to cut out your fabric.
There you have it. Massive production of one or multiple patterns. You never have to buy 3 patterns for its different sizes or try and fold that irritating paper again!
